The retreat is primarily designed for female pediatricians, but we welcome your BFF or office manager, too! Our content is great for any woman looking to invest in herself. Attendees typically include general pediatricians in private and academic practice, subspecialists, non-practicing pediatricians, and the friends and colleagues who support them. It's a warm, inclusive environment where all women can connect, recharge, and strategize together. Whether you’re feeling isolated in your practice or simply seeking a fresh perspective, this space is created for you.
We completely understand how hard it can be to step away from the people you care about most. The Women in Pediatrics Retreat is thoughtfully designed to give you space to truly unplug, recharge, and focus on yourself—something we know is rare and precious. To help you get the most out of the experience, we encourage attendees to come solo and immerse themselves fully.
To protect that experience, retreat events are reserved for registered attendees only. Guests, including spouses, children, or unregistered companions, won’t be able to join sessions or activities.
That said, if you have a friend, sister, or colleague who would love this retreat too, invite her to register and come along! It’s a great chance to reconnect and grow together. And if you’d like to share the beautiful retreat venue with your family, invite them to join you before or after the retreat by taking advantage of our discounted room rate.
Yes! All plenary sessions and educational workshops qualify for CME. You’ll receive full details, including how to claim your credits, in the attendee guide.
Fairhope, Alabama, is a charming coastal town known for its scenic bay views, vibrant arts scene, and welcoming Southern hospitality. The retreat takes place at the Grand Hotel Golf Resort and Spa, a stunning waterfront resort with world-class amenities, perfect for relaxation and connection.
For travel, you can fly into Mobile Regional Airport (MOB) or Pensacola International Airport (PNS)—they are equidistant from the resort. We recommend using a rideshare service or booking the hotel’s shuttle (available for an additional charge) for a stress-free trip. If you’d like to explore the area, you can rent a car, but no need to worry about getting to retreat activities—we provide transportation for all scheduled events.
Registration takes place on Wednesday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. Recreational activities, including arts and crafts and a guided tour of the historic Grand Hotel grounds, will take place from 2:00 to 5:00 PM. If your flight gets in a little later, no worries! The evening welcome reception begins at 6:00 PM, so join us whenever you can.
For departure, we recommend booking your return travel for Sunday morning, as our programming concludes Saturday evening with our can’t-miss bayfront celebration. Check-out time at the resort is 11:00 AM on Sunday, giving you time for a leisurely breakfast or one last walk along the bay before heading home refreshed and inspired.

• Wednesday: Check-in begins in the afternoon. Early arrivals enjoy optional enrichment activities before our evening welcome reception.
• Thursday & Friday: Start your day with an optional wellness session. Morning plenary sessions are followed by your choice of small groups, workshops, and 1:1 sessions in the afternoon. Thursday night is open for you to enjoy with new friends or on your own. Friday night is our exclusive Girls' Night In.
• Saturday: A special collaborative day where the Women in Pediatrics Retreat joins forces with Pediatric CEO Intensive! You'll have access to expanded session options focusing on both personal well-being and entrepreneurship, giving you the best of both worlds. This unique crossover provides additional networking opportunities and diverse perspectives while maintaining the core retreat experience you've come to love. The day concludes with our unforgettable bayfront celebration.
The retreat is all about you feeling comfortable in your skin! Most attendees opt for casual, relaxed clothing during daytime sessions and activities. For our evening events, wear whatever makes you feel your best - some attendees enjoy dressing up a bit while others prefer keeping it casual. For Friday's Girls’ Night In, we encourage your favorite soft clothes. Don’t forget your swimsuit and sunscreen if you plan to enjoy the beach or pool!
Weather in Fairhope in late April/early May is typically pleasant. Days are usually warm and sunny (highs around 80F), while evenings can cool down (lows in the 60s) and get breezy, so consider bringing a light jacket or wrap for outdoor evening activities (and air-conditioned conference spaces!).
Above all, we want you to feel like yourself and enjoy the experience without worrying about fitting a specific dress code.
Life happens! We offer a full refund through October 29, 2025 (minus a $100 administrative fee). After that, here’s our standard refund policy:
• October 30 – December 31, 2025: 50% refund
• January 1 – February 28, 2026: 25% refund
• On or after March 1, 2026: No refunds
We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your investment, as we are unable to make exceptions to this policy.
